Volvo Penta Hood Repair Insert For Part No: 839592 (For shoulder screw 897798)

Manufactured from marine grade stainless steel 316 (A4). This insert is a cost-effective solution for stripped threads on a steering hood / helmet for a Volvo Penta 280 outdrive, designed to enable boat owners to repair a stripped thread by drilling and re-tapping the damaged thread with an M12 fine pitch thread.  

 

This insert will then screw into the hood and give you the original thread to fit shoulder bolt no. 897798.
